In this two-hour, one-time beginner class, you’ll explore both hand building and wheel throwing — two classic pottery techniques that are fun, creative, and surprisingly relaxing. We’ll start with hand building, where you’ll learn how to roll and shape slabs of clay to create your very own functional mug — perfect for coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. Then you’ll get a turn on the pottery wheel to make a small bowl-like vessel that you can later use for snacks, jewelry, or just as a special handmade piece for your home. No experience is needed — this class is all about trying something new, having fun, and getting a little muddy. All materials, tools, and firing are included. Finished pieces will be glazed and ready for pickup in a few weeks. Come play with clay and see why pottery has a way of making everyone smile!
